Cookies on this website

We built this site to work without cookies. There is no login, no basket and no visitor tracking. Fonts, imagery and all other assets are hosted on our own domain, so your browser is not asked to load anything from third parties that could set cookies.

Security and your hosting connection

Our site is served through Cloudflare. A hosting or content-delivery provider may in some cases use a strictly necessary cookie to keep a site secure. Such cookies are exempt from consent and are not used to track you.

If this changes in future

If we ever add features needing non-essential cookies (for example analytics), we will put a proper consent tool in place first — with no pre-ticked boxes — and update this policy before any such cookies are set.

The one thing we do store

When you dismiss the notice shown at the bottom of the page, we save a single value in your browser’s local storage (emmetron-notice) so the notice does not reappear on every page. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, it contains no personal data and it cannot identify you. Because it does only what you asked it to do, it is “strictly necessary” and exempt from the consent requirement. You can clear it at any time through your browser’s site-data settings.

Controlling cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; guidance for every major browser is at aboutcookies.org. As this site sets none of its own, doing so won't affect how it works.
